Privacy Policy
WaitWage runs on one promise: we monetise the moment your AI agent is thinking — not you. Here's exactly what we collect, what we never touch, and the control you have.
Last updated · June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WaitWage collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you join our waitlist, install the WaitWage extension, or use waitwage.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
01Who we are
WaitWage (“WaitWage”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal information described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@waitwage.com. Where a postal address is required for your region, we will provide one on request.
02Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Your email address — to join the waitlist and to run your account.
- Sign-in details when you authenticate (for example, an identifier from your sign-in provider).
- Payout details you choose to provide (such as a bank or PayPal identifier) so we can pay you.
- Anything you send us directly, such as support messages.
Information the extension records.
- Which sponsored message was shown, and an anonymized count of how often.
- Minimal technical signals needed to confirm a real session and prevent fraud (for example a generated device/session identifier and coarse timing).
- The AI tool in use (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) so relevant sponsors can be matched.
What we never collect. WaitWage does not read, store, or transmit your source code, prompts, files, repository names, conversations, keystrokes, or anything your agent produces. The extension operates only on the visible status line, locally on your machine.
03How we use your information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Service.
- To calculate, verify, and pay your earnings — including the early-developer bonus.
- To detect and prevent fraud, bots, and abuse.
- To match relevant sponsored messages while your agent works.
- To communicate with you about access, payouts, and important updates.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
04Legal bases (EEA / UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to provide the Service and pay you.
- Consent — e.g. to join the waitlist or receive optional emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires it.
05How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the Service — for example hosting and database, email-deliverability verification, payment processing, and email delivery — each bound by contract to protect your data.
- With sponsors only in aggregated or anonymized form (such as total impressions) — never your identity, your code, or your personal data.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
06Cookies and analytics
The website uses only the cookies and local storage necessary to function and to keep the live waitlist counter accurate. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this policy and honour your choices.
07Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — to provide the Service, pay you, prevent fraud, and meet legal and tax obligations — and then delete or anonymize it. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or the program ends.
08Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, and we minimize what we collect by design — the extension never has access to your code, so the blast radius is small. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.
09International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect international transfers.
10Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any right, email hello@waitwage.com — we will respond as required by law.
EEA / UK: you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11Children's privacy
WaitWage is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites, including sponsors. We are not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date and, for material changes, take additional steps where the law requires.
